Summer season, is said to be a curse for the skin of human beings as the skin looses its life and becomes pale and dry. Skin needs detoxification and refreshing treats, in order to rejuvenate it and obtain a radiant glow and healthier looks. Below are some of the fruit packs which make the skin healthier and glowing. 

  • Banana face pack- take a ripe banana and mash it and add 3 spoons of honey to it. Apply the whole face pack onto the skin and leave it for 15 minutes. Wash it off with water and see the results. You will notice a fresh glow on the face and also the face pack helps in tighten the skin. It smoothens the skin and rips off white heads. Gives a great glow to the skin.

  • Orange face pack- take the orange peel, dry it and then powder it. Add a spoon of curd and then apply the whole paste on the face and wash it off after 15 minutes with cold water. This will reduce pigmentation and will lighten the scars and gives a natural complexion. In case, if one has a dry skin, add few spoons of orange juice to egg yolk and then add almond powder and lemon juice. Mix the mixture well and apply it for half an hour and wash it off with cold water.

  • Cucumber face pack- take a cucumber and grind it into a paste. Mix almond powder and two teaspoons of milk. Apply the whole paste for 15 minutes and wash it off. The sun burn, sun tan and skin irritation will ward off from this face pack.

  • Tomato pack- this face pack is good in getting rid off sun tan, black heads and gives a clear and natural skin. Mash a tomato and apply it on face. Then wash the face with cold water and see the results. This will reduce skin blemishes. Mixing tomato pulp with Multani Mitti and then mixing few spoons of curd will make it rich. Then apply this paste and see the results. People who are suffering from greasy skin, white heads, blemishes, sun tan and so on will see quick heal of them, by practicing this twice a week.

  • Water melon and almond face pack- put some almonds in a small bowl of milk and soap them overnight or keep them in refrigerator. Make them into paste and add one teaspoon of Clay and 1 tbsp of fresh watermelon juice to it. Ix properly and apply the mixture on the face and kept it so for 15 minutes. Then wash it off, after it gets dried. This will keep the skin healthier and will keep the skin problems at bay.

Sunscreen lotions re a must have for this summer season. The facial sunscreen protects the face from harmful rays and keeps the skin pleasant and maintains the natural complexion intact.

The following ate the various sunscreen lotions for the different skin types.

  • Milky complexioned, for all those people, which have a very fair skin, using sunscreens with SPF 30 and above are beneficial for use. Applying sunscreen lotions, which are above 20-30 and probably 50 are also helpful.

  • Fair complexioned- For men and women, who are fair complexioned, using sunscreens lotions, which have SPF above 15 and higher are suitable and beneficial for use.

Avoid injuries and people with back pain, arthritis must avoid this exercise.  

Front one leg squat- stand on the lowest star and lift the leg behind i.e. outwards. Squat toll the foot of the toe of left leg touches the floor lightly, while keeping the right knee in line of your toes. Now stand up slowly and repeat it 8-10 times. Change legs and repeat 4-5 sets again.

  • Mix one egg white with 1 teaspoon of sugar and half teaspoon of corn flour. Mix it thoroughly, until it becomes a thick sticky paste. Apply this paste on the face and allow it to dry. Peel it off gently. Follow this process 4 times a week.

  • Add little quality of turmeric and besan and mix some water to make it into paste. Apply it on the face and allow it to dry. Gently rub the face with cold water after the drying and peeling is done. Wash it with warm or cold water afterwards.

  • Make a paste of curd, turmeric powder and gram flour and apply it on the face. Rub it gently and then wash it off.

  • Note- for body hair- hair grown on the body like in legs, bikini area here is a home remedy. Soak two cups of Epsom salt in a tub and then apply it on circular motion and then rinse it off. But in case of any irritation or redness, please stop this remedy and use gentle sugar, in place of Epsom salt.

Tips to remove pimple marks-

  • Tip 1# Take a spoon full of fresh milk and mix lemon juice and apply it on the face. Allow the liquid to dry up on the face. This will remove pimples marks of acne and pigmentations from the skin within 7 days.

  • Tip 2# Take the potato and peel it and grate it. Then put it in the cloth and make it in the form of a pad. Pigmentation marks, acne marks, white heads, black heads will vanish from the skin, within 3 days of twice daily application.

  • Tip 3# Take a pinch of pepper and alum and apply the paste on the pimples and acne. This will make the acne disappear without any marks and will also make the pimple marks vanish.

  • Tip 4# Take three basil leaves and dry them and make them into powder by mixing a bit of turmeric powder to it apply the pack on the face and leave for 10-15 minutes. This must be applied before bath.

  • Tip 5# Applying honey n face will decrease pimples and acne on the face and will also make the pimple marks disappear from face.

Youngsters are falling prey to the latest modern age healthy hazards like Neck pain and back pain. According to a survey done by a government firm, most of 70% of the people, who fall prey to neck and back pain, are youngsters. The long hours of working before the computer is said to be the main reason for these kinds of health hazards.

Here are some yoga asanas, which not relieve the person fro back pain or neck pain, but also can forgo it permanently.

  • Brahma Mudra asana- in this asana, the person must cross leg in the padma asana or lotus position. Keep the shoulders and spine straight and chin parallel to the ground. Turn the neck to 90 degrees angle gently, till it is comfortable. Hold for 10-15 breadths. Return back to normal position and then turn the neck left. Return back after holding 15 breadths. Then lift the chin upwards and bring back to the normal position. Then make the head touch the chin, by making it turn downwards. Note- don not bed while doing this asana and move the neck gently as the twisting of spine is also observed in case of improper practice.

  • Spine twisting- in order to get relief from the back pain, keep you feet apart. Stretch your arms straight and keep your palms down at 180 degrees angle. Do not move your legs and twist your upper body right, till it can stretch. Hold 5-10 breadths. Then repeat it in another direction. Note- don not bend legs while twisting and twist to be parallel to the ground.

  • Ardha Pawan Mukt asana- this asana is beneficial for lower back, neck and also as a healing power of back pain. Lie straight on the ground. Fold the right neck and bring the knee to the chest. Hold 5-10 breaths. Return to normal position. Repeat it with another leg. Go back to normal position. Then do this asana with two knees and hold 5-10 breaths. This asana must be done gently and must be done in a relaxed way without any hurry.

  • Sethu Bandhasana or bridge pose- this asana will take back the stress and will relive the reason from neck pain, back pain and joint pains as well. It will strengthen the muscles of buttocks and hamstrings and will hold to get rid of tiredness. Keep shoulders on the ground and the arms flat. Raise the pelvic area and the spine will be lifted from the ground. Do not bend the body in a zig zag way and do not lift the buttocks too high. Maintain comfortless, while doing this poses.

  • Kati Vakrasana or supreme twist- this asana is good for building strength in spinal column and is great for lower back. Lie flat on the ground with arms stretched out at 180 degrees and palms facing the ground. Fold the legs at the knees and feet tucked under, with knees facing the roof. Twist the lower back to right and hold 5-10 breaths. Bring back the legs gently to the normal position and then repeat the procedure for the left side. Note- while doing this asana does not move the upper body. Make sure that the spinal chord gets the perfect pressure.

Bartholin abscess is a kind of swelling of the bartholin glands. Bartholin glands are present near to the reproductive walls of a woman and near to the vaginal cavity opening.

During intercourse, the Bartholin glands emit a liquid lubricant which maintains the required lubrication during the intercourse session in between a male and a female.

When the bartholin glands are blocked, the result is a severe infection and is often caused by the bacteria. The bacteria make the Bartholin glands swell up and enlarge them. In general, the bartholin gland is in the size of peas, but when infected it grows up to the size of an orange.

The symptoms ate nil or the bartholin gland infection. During its growth, the enlarged gland can be felt at the opening of Vulva. After the gland getting deteriorated the movement of the women gets a bit problematic. Continuous fever reaching 102 degree Celsius is observed.

The bartholin abscess can be easily treated under strict medical supervision. Within 3-4 days the treatment can subside the gland infection and within one week the patient will be normal.

Bad breathe is a common symptom seen in persons, who do not maintain oral hygiene well. The bad breathe from the mouth can cause the person, to get isolated from social gatherings and may generate a guilty feeling in him/her.

Causes of bad breath

  • Bad breathe can be caused occasionally due to severe illness. Due to non regular brushing of teeth during illness days, can cause the oral hygiene deteriorated.

  • Intake of substances such as garlic, onions, spices can also cause bad breathe and usually this bad breathe is severe in morning times.

  • Smoking, alcohol intake can also cause bad breathe in the mouth.

Test of bad breathe- the right way to test the bad breathe in ones mouth is to keep our hand in front of the mouth and breathe 3-4 times, till the hot hair bounces back an reaches the nose. If the blown out air from the mouth is filthy smelling then this is a good symptom of bad breathe. Another way to test, bad breathe is to insert the thumb onto the inner portion of the mouth and take it out and smell it. If in case the thumb smells dirty, then this is a good sign of bad breathe. Visiting a dentist will be a good suggestion after testing for bad breathes.

Prevention of bad breath

  • Visiting a dentist for a through check up for every 6 months is recommended.

  • Eating less spicy, smelly food and non sugary substances is also necessary to prevent bad breathe.

  • Staying away from smoking, drinking and coffee and tea intake is also recommended.

  • Drinking at least 14 glasses of water a day is said to be good prevention method for bad breathe.

  • Brush teeth twice daily at bed time and in the mornings. Gargling with a mouthwash will be beneficial.

  • Always clean the tongue surface daily with a tooth brush, tongue scrapper or a tongue cleaner

  • Chewing no sugar based chewing gum after meals will help saliva production and this in turn stops bad breathe.

  • Mouth fresheners may mask the bad breathe on temporary basis.

  • Non alcohol based mouth wash containing chlorine dioxide, chlorohexidine and anti bacterial liquid is recommended after meals for the prevention of any kind of gum infections.

  • Always massage the scalp of the head with Luke warm coconut oil. No matter of the brand, the oil must be pure coconut oil and must be heated for 2-3 minutes and must be applied in Luke warm state.   • Take a mixture of amla powder, neem powder and shikakai powder and add lemon juice to it. Then after 10 minutes add curd and apply the whole paste to the scalp of the head. Then rinse of the whole paste, which is on the head with water. This will make the hair grow stronger, thicker and shinier. Moreover, the hair loss can instantly prevent.

  • In case, one has a hibiscus plan in the house, grind the leaves of it, along with water. Apply the water paste to the head and this will be the best shampoo + conditioner for the hair.

  • Reduce the usage of shampoos as they contain chemicals. All those who are using shampoo from the age of 12 years or 15 years, will experience severe hair fall in between the age of 25-30. This is a fact and has been proved by hair experts. So, avoid harmful shampoos and go for natural ingredients.

  • Do not use hair blowers and hair curlers. Use your fingers to dry the hair.

  • Include vegetables and fruits in the daily diet.
