Central government employees
all around the Indian sub continent will be covered under a new health
insurance scheme which is provided by a health insurance company or
by a central government health scheme.
Presently, the central government
employees who are around 3 lakhs are getting health insurance benefits
through a central government health scheme which was formulated by the
health ministry some years back. Now, after a union cabinet’s approval,
the central government employees will be covered under a new health
insurance scheme which will be formulated by an insurer.
There are only 26 places in
the country which have CGHS covered health dispensaries and hospitals.
By the new health insurance scheme formatted for the central government
employees, the 3 lakh odd employs can get benefits gained from insurance
who are residing outside the zone of dispensaries and hospitals which
are run under CGHS scheme.
However, the opposition in
the Indian government is said to be fumed up as the government has sanctioned
the whole3 lakh central government heal scheme with one single insuring
company.
