Gross Rating point- GRP has made the Star plus channel, take on the number one position and has taken this place after a struggle of more than eight months.
Its two primetime shows, “ Yeh Rishta kya Kehlata Hai” -7.1 TRP and “ Biddai”-6.9 TRP has won the accolades and the GRP for Star Plus.
After this channel, Colors, which is airing fresh Hindi movie releases in this year, has taken the second position. Its televisions soaps are getting an average count with 283 GRP ratings.
Third position is occupied by ZEE TV which has a GRP of 246. While Zee has occupied the third position from almost two years, Colors channel, which topped the charts, is struggling now, its women oriented televiosn soap, are a passé, with all the overdose of showing female gender in dim light. This made the television serials of it a bit weak. Now, there is news that colors have topped the TRP ratings on Sunday nights as it is airing premier movies every Sunday.
Sony television which was a prominent channel till date has been allotted fifth place in the latest GRP ratings. No interesting serials have made the channel air the previous episodes of their only successful shows CID
